Provide opportunities for the individual child to achieve his or her full potential whilst being careful not to control the child’s direction or choice.

At Smartys we believe that we can best meet the needs of individual children by working closely with parents/carers.

We aim to develop partnerships between parents/carers and staff which are based on mutual trust and respect, which promote the sharing of information and knowledge for the benefit of the children in our care.

Parents are encouraged at all times to discuss and share any information, concerns or queries with staff, and can speak to a member of staff at any time.

We pride ourselves on building long serving and trusting relationship with our parents, we look after your children as if they were our own.

Smartys are always striving high to make your journey with Smartys a very happy and memorable one.

We follow parent’s wishes as to where and when the babies sleep. We have a variety of cots, bouncers and sleep mats. We do not have set times for sleeping. Babies sleep as needed but also in line with their parents wishes.

Our babies nappies are changed regularly throughout the day or whenever needed. The carers check the babies’ nappies regularly. Each child has their own box where we store your child’s own nappies, wipes and creams (we do ask for parents to provide these).

Our babies are encouraged to explore and become mobile as they begin to cruise, crawl and walk around the rooms.

At our nursery, we provide a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, confident and excited to learn.

We believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, creativity and joy. Through play-based learning, strong relationships and meaningful experiences, we support each child to grow socially, emotionally and academically at their own pace.

We work in partnership with families to give every child the best possible start — building independence, resilience and a lifelong love of learning.
