Senior Nursery Nurse
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and NVQ Level 3 in Management
Hi, my name is Vicky and I am a senior nursery nurse at the Little Stars setting.
I have 11 years service with Smartys and experience of working with children including being a mum to my 5 year-old little girl and 1 year old little boy.
I have achieved paediatric first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding level 1, behaviour level 1, EYFS training observation and assessment, ENCO level 1 and 2, behaviour level 1 and 2, planning courses, music and movement, speech and language and autism awareness.
I have completed my level 2 in supporting special needs (SENCO).
I am responsible for supporting the manager within the day to day running of Little Stars, ensuring my room runs smoothly along with ensuring the children, staff and parents welfare and health are met at all times. I ensure that all of my children in my care are planned for along with checking development records and being a key worker. I provide all of the children with a safe environment making sure they are happy and well looked after. I enjoy communicating with the parents on a daily basis.
I enjoy working with children because I like to bond with them and I enjoy watching them learn and develop into children ready for big school. I find working with children very rewarding.
I like to be very artistic and creative with the children in my care and I have a very caring and kind nature. I enjoy my job and enjoy coming to work.
